CAMINO DE SANTIAGO: Day 1: Arrival in Tui – Beginning of the Experience

Arrival in Tui, on the natural border between Spain and Portugal.

Walk through its medieval old town.

Visit to the Cathedral of Santa María, a key point of the Camino.

Overnight in Tui.

Day 2: Tui → O Porriño (17 km)

Official start of the Camino.

Crossing the International Bridge and walking through lush trails.

Passing by the historic medieval bridge of San Telmo.

Arrival in O Porriño, famous for its granite and pilgrim atmosphere.

Overnight in O Porriño.

Day 3: O Porriño → Redondela (15 km)

Easy stage with forests and rural paths.

Gentle ascent to Alto de Enxertade.

Arrival in Redondela, known as the “Town of Viaducts”.

First view of the sea in the background in the Vigo estuary.

Overnight in Redondela.

Day 4: Redondela → Pontevedra (19 km)

One of the most beautiful stages of the Camino.

Passing through Arcade, famous for its oysters.

Crossing the Sampaio Bridge, historic for the Napoleonic battle.

Arrival in Pontevedra and visit to its pedestrian old town.

Overnight in Pontevedra.

Day 5: Pontevedra → Caldas de Reis (21 km)

Paths surrounded by vineyards, forests, and small villages.

Optional stop in A Armenteira for a small spiritual detour.

Arrival in Caldas de Reis, famous for its thermal waters.

Overnight in Caldas de Reis.

Day 6: Caldas de Reis → Padrón (19 km)

Trails among oak groves and medieval bridges.

Crossing the Bermaña River, one of the most beautiful sections.

Arrival in Padrón, land of writers, poets, and famous peppers.

Visit to the Church of Santiago and the Pedrón.

Overnight in Padrón.

Day 7: Padrón → Santiago de Compostela (24 km)

Last and most exciting stage.

Walk through villages, forests, and the final ascent to O Milladoiro.

Entry to Santiago through Porta Faxeira.

Arrival at Obradoiro Square and visit to the majestic Cathedral of Santiago.

End of the Camino.

Optional overnight stay in Santiago.
